When will my plants ship?

Orders are processed within 2-3 business days and ship out on the following Monday or Tuesday AFTER processing. Plants are shipped via USPS priority mail, typically taking 2-3 days to arrive. Marley’s Planty Things is not responsible for shipping delays once plants have left our shop.

How are plants shipped?

To comply with agricultural regulations across the US, plants will ship bare root in sphagnum moss or tree fern.

What should I do once my plants arrive?

Plants are living specimens and some just tolerate shipping better than others. (I’m looking at you Alocasia!) Be aware that there may be a slight bit of wilting or yellowing of leaves when you initially open your box. This is normal. Your plant will need time to adjust to your environment…give it time to do so. All of our plants are watered before being packed for shipping, so it will likely not be necessary to water your plants once they arrive. Check the moss or tree fern when you open your package. If it’s moist, hold off on watering for a few days. Do not repot your plant for the 1st 30 days to give it time to acclimate to your home.

After the acclimation period passes, feel free to repot your plant in the growing medium of your choice. Some plants have certain growing conditions that need to be met in order to thrive. Be sure to research your specific plant so that you can prepare your environment for its arrival.

What is your return/refund policy?

Due to the delicate nature of plants, all purchases of live plants are considered final. We pack your plants with great care to ensure they make it to their final destination healthy and in excellent condition. Our goal is your satisfaction, so please reach out via email within 24 hours if there is an issue and provide photos or video of your plant’s condition. We will evaluate the condition of the plant and whether our aftercare instructions were followed to determine whether a refund or replacement is warranted.

Items other than living plants may be returned in their original packaging/condition within 14 days of purchase. Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.

Do you ship outside the US?
